Suvatti and Humpback puffer

I've had my humpback for almost a year and she's roughly 6" long. I would like to get a suvatti but she is much small maybe 2-3" long.
Can i keep these fish together in a 40g. breeder tank? The foot print of the 40g is 36L x 18W X 16H.

I wouldn't, not for a second, not without a divider.

40g is recommended tank size for 1 humpback.

Too little space and again it would also depend on the personalities of each puffer. I wouldn't recommend introducing one at a later date when the other has established its territory.

I knew thats what you were going to tell me but i was hoping.
My humpback will be very happy not to have to share her home.
