What would be good tank mates for my 3 T. suvatti, i have tried with some tetras, but they seem to disappear

Well sure, you can keep all kinds of things with them. Don't expect the things to survive though. Rocker is someone with quite a lot of experience with them. But they're your fish, its your tank, and your money. You're free to do what you want.

Almost all of my puffer tanks are sole fish tanks. I have two smallish baileyis in one 55g but there's a divider between them. I have one smallish palembang in a 29g alone. Etc. Its the price we pay for keeping these lovely critters. What I find that helps fill up an empty-looking tank is to load it up with live plants and decor such as caves, driftwood, etc. Then the tank doesn't look nearly as empty but everyone is still safe and secure.

I was going to say "plants and driftwood" but Boxermom beat me to it!

I had a SAE with my congo and it was fine for a year or so... not even a nipped fin. Then one day the poor SAE was missing an eye!!!! (He healed up in QT and now lives with some dwarf puffers.)

The moral of the story is that lurkers will make dinner out of just about any tankmate more active than a java fern... (and my figure 8 even nipped those! Of course, she'll eat anything. She ate some flakes just last night... fat little fish, but I love her!)

My two DPs ate about half of a 3 inch SAE unfortunately. Little monsters have eaten just about everything I've put in with them except otos and, oddly enough, cherry shrimp. They even ate ghost shrimp but seem to be leaving the cherries alone. One of my baileyi's ate a large, full grown, pregnant black lyretail molly in two chomps within seconds of it hitting the water. My palembang has eaten a lot of guppy and molly fry, which we wanted him to do, but also thought one of my silus puffers would make a nice little snack. The silus, of course, have tried to eat each other and everyone else I've tried them with. My GSP (and so far the SAP) seems to be the only fairly docile one in the bunch.

I have had success with a palembang but I take it from this thread you want the tank to look 'busy' and a palembang will not fulfill that criteria.
Anything that is 'busy' and swims about will become a meal for these excellent ambush predators.

Thanks allot to all for the replies, it wasn't what i was hoping to hear, but i guess that's the price i have to pay if i want the suvattis.
