Puffer Tank #2 Setup Complete

This is where i'm at so far with the second puffer tank. Apologies for the picture quality, low light and couldnt get back far enough to get my reflection out of it.
Pretty pleased with the blackboard paint background now its full of water.
Just need to add some plants and get a new light for the metal hood which is on the cards for tomorrow and then it's good to go.
The filter for it is currently in the Abei's tank seeding nicely, Moved half of the established filter sponge straight into that filter and then one new one in each of the filters. Will move it into this tank when the time comes.
I said i'd never have sand again but I like the look of it too much, only used one 5kg bag so its pretty thin.

I like it. I'm a sucker for sand-and-pebbles tanks. Does the pufferfish dig or not? If not, I'd be tempted to thin the sand a little to avoid anaerobic decay. I tend to keep Malayan snails to deal with this (nothing does a better job of aerating the sand and eating organic matter) but in a pufferfish tank this might not be possible. Plants also help, but only where their roots are (the roots carry oxygen downwards into the sand).

It wont dig but i've not had any problems in the Abei tank and the sand is a lot deeper than this, I stir it thoroughly every week though removing all decor and plastic plants to avoid any risk of build up. I'll be doing the same maintenance regime with this one.
I'm crap with live plants, I may try again one day on a larger tank when i can set up decent lighting and a CO2 system.

We just got a T. suvatti at my LFS. They're not very active,but they are super cool. They look awesome.
