I have a fairly small porcupine(3-4"), he has never nipped at my gobie or my tang, he likes my snails and I have a lot in the tank for him. Can I get an anenome and a clown, or will he nip at them?

Clown-yes, anemone, he may nip at. Clowns don't necessarily have to have an anemone.

He will probably nip at the anemone.
I have a blue lined cinnamon clown with my S&S puffer they are good buddies, but my puffer ate the anemone 2 weeks after I put him in the tank and it was a pretty agressive anemone ( pink tip haitian).

So I take it an anenome can't protect itself from a puffer?

Nope. I think a fellow here had some problem with that & the puffer got sick. Might be able to search that post out. The poster's name was Jager.
