Bump on head...

Ok, water params are all good, did a fresh water change on the weekend. I have been noticing that my GSP has a lump on his head and believe this is causing his discomfort (blackish belly). I tried to get pictures but he is not camera friendly. It basically looks like lump...like he bumped his head, but not really. He swims and eats normally only showing the blackish belly as discomfort. Anyone have any experience with this?

It could be a nematode (if that's how it's spelt correctly) which is a parasite that cannot be treated. I do not know much about them appart from that they sometimes can go away, it's just a matter of time.

its possible it could be the same thing. just that mine is on the top of its head and has no discoloration.
