Hey everybody,
I am the pride owner of a small puffer (1 inch!)...
He's really sweet but the problem is:
He's bored!
DO you guys know some solutions to cheer up his life a bit?
Thank U all,

Plenty of decor, rockwork and bogwood for him to explore should do the trick.

What kind of puffer is it? If you are unsure, look through the PufferPedia and see if you find one similar, or post a pic and we can help ID it for you.

Plants, lots and lots of plants (fake or real) will help. A background on the tank also helps, doesn't matter what kind, just anything to cover the back of the tank.

I also periodically move the decorations around in my tank. It gives them something new to explore.

For my fahaka if I try putting something new in the tank or moving something around he bites it.

i recently raised the salinity in my ceylon tank high enough to support caulerpa algae and lately they've been amusing themselves poking around the algae looking for bits of missed food and generally being nosey.

Hey everybody,
I looked around on the puffer pedia...

But... Is it a brackwather fish then?
I didn't knew:(

Figure 8s are brackish water fish. They do best at the salinity of 1.005

Yeah I already noticed... But would that be the reason that he's so sick?

Is he sick, or is he just bored?

What size tank is he in?

When did he become sick? I thought he was just bored.

Sorry to hear that. Did you tell us he was sick in another post? If not, why not? We might have been able to help. Do you know what he was sick from?

That's so sad, Figure of 8 Puffers are such cute fish.
I don't know if you want another one but if you do, post here first, so hopefully you'll get more joy next time.
