As I've stated in another post, my GSP has ich. He's in a 5 gal (yeah I know) and tomorrow I'm going to get some Biospira (sp). I know, I'm one of those idiots that are slowly learning (thanks to this forum, I've learned a lot already). I don't know how old he is, but he's about 1 1/2". My question is what do I need to do (beginging with the Biospira) to make his water right for treating him and to make him as happy as he can be with his condition?
Oh yeah, right now I can't get a bigger tank. But in a couple of weeks after I pay tuition I can get one. I'll be asking detailed questions then about how to cycle it (I need step by step instructions...I can read the articles all day long but it doesn't help as much).
Thank all of you for helping me! Hopefully I can get my little Puffer well and happy.

Adding B-S directly to the filter, will instantly cycle your tank. In the meantime, do 80% water changes 1-2x/day. In a tank that small he will poison himself with his waste, quickly. When you get his larger tank, transfer everything from his present tank, to the new one & it should stay cycled. I'd still read the GSP article we have in the Library for further care instructions, as far as substrate, salinity, feeding, etc.
