What would be a good price for a T. abei?

price is dependant on availability really.
I picked mine up for next to nothing as they didn't know what they were and so priced them up at fig 8 prices.

Interesting to note that one shop I visited had them incorrectly labelled. When they finally agreed that they were abei the price then doubled lol!

I love getting an exotic fish at an LFS that doesn't know what it is!

There are some T. abei (labelled alberti) at my local LFS which are going for £24.00, I think, that's what Michael remembers ... but then again this is London, drive north for an hour and everything costs a third less

I think prices all depend on the individual shop, I paid £18 for mine. If I remember what Rocker told me, around £10 would be a fair price for one.

Again these are or have been considered 'rare' and not often found. This season however there was a massive influx of them available. If they all sold then I believe the same thing will happen next season. Obviously the more there are the less the price will be.Having said that is there is a high demand and limited supplies then the price will rise. Just like anything really.
