Few questions...Do these guys like to bury? Do they like heavily decorated tanks? Are they more of a lurker or swimmer?

Dr. Ebert states that they are sedentary, but pufferpedia says they are active swimmers?

They do not like to bury - they are not very active. Very much the lurker. As to decor - if you can do live plants - they love hanging out in the plants.

My experience with them (two) is that they have been extremly active. More so than any other puffer except the SAP. Mine have never buried but are constantly on the go.

When i saw yours rocker I was really impressed with how active it was.

The one I have though, hides in the same spot all day, coming out only to be fed, and whenever anyone walks past the tank.

He's probably still one of my favourite fish right now though (don't tell the others!).

I just bought the one from the LFS. Gotta move out the current residents and redo the tank, then I'll be picking him up!

Sorry to butt in, but is there any possibility of tankmates? I have a 46g and it would be kind of a waste to put a cochinchinensis in there all by itself.

Not recommnede. These puffers are very aggresive.

I'm guessing these guys dont like much current, is that correct?
