One week ago I bought 1M and 1F Irrubesco. Or so i tought. But after reading to much in here, I`m not shore if the males tail is red enough, and does the female really have the right marks on her belly?

The males tale looks red, but not to strong a color. And he suddenly got this red line going down his belly while I was feeding them.

I`ve taken a couple of pictures, but they`re not the best. The male didn't`t approve of the picture-taking and got all black after a while, and my camera is not the best.. Can anyone help me decide?

Definitely one of the most attractive puffer species to me.

Thank you everybody. I've fallen in love with them, and can't wait to see them grow bigger. Now they're only about 2 cm long. Does anybody know what age that compares to? I forgot to ask the store where i bought them because I was in a hurry, and now I don't know what store it was. I was in a for me unknown city, and I finaly found the right fish in a tiny store in an alley.

Now there's a neat idea... a growth chart for different puffer species.

They have these for kids based on height and weight... my daughter is always in the 95%-97% in both categories... quite a big kid for her age. She's already far taller than her cousin who is a year older.

I've never seen anything like it, sorry emma. Perhaps someone that has some irrubesco experience can give you a hint. I would imagine they are quite young since puffers grow fast.

They are awesome. What care do this pair need? Umm, I may have to consider these for my future freshwater tank.
