GSP scratching himself?

So my GSP sometimes does this action where its like he is massaging or like scracthing a itchy spot (not the disease). He will approach objects, get really close and like jerk into and away from it. Its sort of like he skips off it. He will do each side of his body and continue swimming around. Its fun to watch him do it but should I be worried about this behaviour?

Keep a close eye on him for ich spots. This is sometimes a precursor for ich. What SG is he in now?

Melafix may help soothe his skin and keep the scratches from getting worse.
What are your water parameters?

Both my F8 and 2 GSPs ( May Chunk, my first puff RIP) did this when I first got them; although I have not seen it happen recently, and neither of them have ever gotten Ich.

Forgot about this one too..lol. Well he has stopped doing it now and there was no Ich.
