Puffers from Aquariumfish.net

What experience does anyone have with ordering from them?
I lost my male c. irrubesco yesterday (had him for 2 1/2 years

)
They have "true red eye" puffers in stock according to their website, but under one heading they list it as c lorteti, and on another the c lorteti is a totally different picture. I know the lorteti is more aggressive, so I would rather stick with a c irrubesco.
Also, is it o.k. to try a pair (M/F)? They would be going into a 75 gal densely planted aquarium.

Aquariumfish.net can be hit and miss. They do have guarentees and do take good care to ensure healthy stock. But their website will sometimes say they have something in stock when they actually don't. And with any puffer, they can be easily and frequently misidentified. This is further exascerbated with online shops, because you can't see what you're buying.
Give them a call and see if they can give you a better ID or confirmation of stock.
As for keeping a pair and all that, I'm not qualified to say, but someone who knows should be along shortly.

I would ask them to send a pic of the exact fish they will be sending you. Can't go wrong there...

Aquariumfish lists True Red Eyes as lortetis, but they are usually irrubescos. There was a user on here named "abc" who bought a bunch of them and they were all irrubescos.

I bought my humpback puffer from them and had no problems at all. The shipment was great and on time. They sent the right fish. But ya they do sometimes show that they have somethign when they don't. They just reciently updated the sight though, because I have been keeping an eye on when they would get some arrowheads in. They updated it maybe 2 weeks ago, so I would call them before you order
