I am not sure if this is a serious situation or just a something like chafing (which I dont think fish do). When I got my GSP a few days ago it had some white rings on its belly and they seemed to lighten up so I didn't worry, but tonight it seems like maybe they are getting worse. Here is a picture of it, any and all help appreciated.

Those appear to be bite marks/scars to me.

I would agree..but why are none of his fins nipped? (He was housed with about 20 other GSP's at walmart in a 10 gallon tank)

Because they didn't nip his fins, they nipped his body. Very common for them to have body bite marks and not nipped fins.

interesting, anyway to help him out, or just let it heal naturally?

You can add Pimafix and Melafix to prevent any infections & to aid in the healing process.
