Hey all,

I'm doing fine with the new hospital tank(40 breeder) and just got my new 55 all glass to build the sump. THANK YOU PUFFERPUNK! That info on the deal(1 dollar a gallon) at Petco was awesome and I saved so much money it's sick.

Anyway, I picked up this stuff at the store called Proper PH 8.2 by Aquarium Pharmaceuticals to keep the hospital tank at the proper pH.

I'm wondering if anyone has used this product. You just toss in a packet of stuff(per 20 gal) and it "automatically sets aquarium pH at 8.2".

I'm just looking for some positive feedback before I use it on my tank full of beautiful fish. I didn't see any other product for marine pH UP so I guess there isn't much choice.

There was a bottle for freshwater pH UP but all they had for marine was these packets that say it's automatic. I'm always leery of something that says it's "automatic". Maybe paranoia?

I do not recommend using any chemicals to adjust your pH. It causes too much of a pH swing and is too difficult to maintain consistently, and a varying pH is much more dangerous to fish than a high or low yet stable pH.

yeah I was wondering how I could maintain a stable pH while doing 50% WC every other day.
