hi all just wondering about a spotted puffer, i hear they get upto 7" roughly, and i was at the pet store yesterday and saw one and fell inlove with it, its about 2", so what i was thinking is buying it for the 10$ asking price and gettting some more plants and throwing it in a 10g by himself, and then in about 2 months get a 55g for himself, i love him because he was the only one to bite my finger when i stuck it in the water, and hes a cutie....just wondering about your guys's opinions, and just keeping an update my other puffers are doing great still in the tank their in right now, not a single nick bite, or whatnot on them. their flawless, beautiful looking right now, they have been eating regularly, and my tank has been at a steady 26-27 degrees

Make sure you are using brackish water with marine salt. As adults they will need full marine conditions if you are talking about the Green Spotted Puffer.

10 is too small of a tank for 2 months. I would wait until you can afford the 55 before you buy a GSP.

I missed that it was 2". At that size, I'd be looking for a 20+g. Just to let ya know, mine grew from 2-6" in less than 2 years.

Reading your other thread I get the impression your 2 Silus seem destined for a 55g tank as well. If this is the same one that you intend to put the the GSP into, dont get the GSP as they need totally different water conditions to your Silus. If you're getting 2 55's then thats all good but one with 3 puffers just isnt gonna work.

I'm totally confused as to what fish you have now.
