Hi
I have apparently four GSPs, however i was told that all GSP had white bellies is this true?
One of my puffers, the largest in approx 9 months, about three months ago it developed the spots on its belly...is this normal?

Are they grey circular patches/ rings?
Pics would be good if you can get them.

They could be previously healed bite marks that have a darker appearence than the rest. When my GSP is a little excited they are the first parts to darken and they look like spots.

There is a variant population of GSPs with spotted bellies - I don't remember where it originates, but I think that Ebert has it in his book. I have seen one in my life, years ago, and refused to believe it was a GSP, so did not buy it - duh!

My GSP has one big yellow ring on his belly that fills in with grey/black from time to time.
