120 or 125

I need to get a bigger tank for my fahaka so I was wondering which would be better a 125 gallon or a 120?

Agree with BM, the bigger the better, what's the difference in dimensions between the two?

Actually, in the case of a Fahaka, the 120 is recommended over the 125.
The reason is the dimentions. A 125 is 18" front to back, while a 120 is 24" front to back. This gives a big fish like a Fahaka more room to turn around and manuver around decor.

I'm also looking into tanks of that size... I noticed the 125 was long and skinny (72X18X22) and the 120 was shorter and fatter (48X24X24), so I was planning on a 120 for my SW puffer.
Besides, I can more than make up any difference in volume with a slightly bigger sump and/or refugium. You could do the same with a "veggie filter" in FW.

A 24" deep tank is definitely preferable as the Fahaka could reach 18", like Myaj says more turning space for him/her.
is a 5x2x2 not available to you over there or is it not a common tank footprint?

I'm not sure Hilly.. I'd have to look up what a 150 or 180 standard footprint is, but I don't seem to remember any 5x2x2 tanks. There's always the 210 you know!

It looks like the 180 is 24" deep.
