Hey
I just ordered some Gel-tek ultra cure PX, and also Prazipro last night from foster and smith for my 2 new DPs that have IPs. I was wondering which one i should use, I didn't know at the time so just ordered the 2 i heard of.
Prazipro=Ingredients: Oxybispropanol (as an inert solubilizing agent) and < 5% praziquantel by weight.
Gel-tek=Active Ingredients:
Praziquantel 0.0057%
Flubenol 0.03%
Metronidazole 0.30%
So I was just wondering if any has had success with either or if someone recommends one over the other.
Thanks

The obvious disadvantage of the gel is that you need to get the puffers to eat it.
I've heard the prazi-pro might not be very effective in FW as it's in SW when fish 'drink' the water around them.
Tryin to help, but I don't have your real answers.

Whatever you use, the puffer will have to eat it, by soaking their food in it.

Cool thnx a ton. I think ill use prazipro on the food then, I also ordered garlic guard becuase i heard it makes medicated foods more attractive to the fish. thnx

HI
Do not use the prazi-pro on the food you cant tell how much your fish is eating possible overdose I have used the pazi-pro pond formula and found it to work much better than the prazi-pro for the same price The prazi-pro is only to be used in the water your fish will absorb the meds through its gills at the right dosage

Isn't the pond formula in bulk size though? You have tons of tanks & fish that need to be treated in large groups (wild-caught discus). Maybe not sensible to buy this in bulk for 1 puffer?
