Puffers/meds, what not to use/ what can you use?

My fish rarely ever get sick "knock on wood" but should my new mbu puffer I am getting on Wednesday ever does fall ill, what meds are out there that are bad for them?
Also what meds are ok for them?

Melafix and Pimafix I've heard r reputable... There's something else that I cant think of right now too... But About the two above, I've heard someting about it being bad in SW? I dunno... You should add an airstone while using these too.

I believe there is a list stickied in this forum.
One of the things you may have to treat for 1st will be internal parasites. See the sticky on Discomed & alternatives to it.

oh yea, there is isn't there? As a matter of fact, I just checked, ALL the stickies are about meds, well, almost all...
