I was wondering if any of you have used the visi-jet protein skimmer. Is it any good? Was about the Fission Nano Skimmer is it any good. I don't have alot to spend so I'm looking for good product at a low cost.

thanks,
R1

I've never heard of that brand. Skimmers aren't very useful in BW. What's the SG?

The Visi-Jet is rather mediocre quallity IME/O, it is on the same line as the Seaclone, as far as it's effectivity in BW, the tank would have tobe almost NSW conditions on the high end of brackish.......like 1.015-1.021, and even then it may be tricky to tune.

Check out Jager's protein skimmer sticky in the marine section of the forum.

Are you getting a bio-film on your BW tank? It happened to me too. I have a Fluval 204 fo I just used their surface skimmer attachment and it works wonders.
