Mbu puffer availability

Does anybody here have any idea of the availability of Mbu puffers on the market vs. period of the year? I've been looking for one for a couple years now, some importers tell me <insert season here> is not the season, others tell me the opposite...
Anyone of you have any clue? If this can help you I am in Canada, east coast.

Well many puffers are only available at certain times of year, or are more readily available certain times of the year, so I don't see why mbu's wouldn't also.

Yea, me either, but I guess it's probably cuz no one has an MBU? I mean, they take a LOT, lol. Maybe ask that friend of yours? Or RTR can say what he may think is best, but might not wanna hold it to him, just seeing if he can try?

Well my friend sees them pretty much year round in the UK. She crosses one every few months...which makes me even more jealous =)
I am sure there has got to be a better season for them...just yet have to find someone that actually knows hehe.

It's true as well they do seem to pop up all year round.

I live in the UK and my fish shop always tends to get them this time of year, they have quite a few in at the moment, but definitely more a seasonal fish than all year round

Today i went to a store with no less than 30 on sale. 5" specimens sold as "large".

I feel bad for those 30 mbu's...I wonder how many of them will end up living out a decent life in an appropriate tank (1000 gallons).
