The Puffer Forum

So the day after I got my new F8 puffer I noticed a line on his skin just in front of his tail fin. Last night he was almost doubled over on his side for about a minute, and bumped into a rock. He unfolded and hasn't done it since. When I look at the line it might be a small worm under his skin, but he hasn't shown any other signs of illness.

Could this be a parasite? If so, which one?

It may be an encysted nematode...do you have any pictures?

I tried, but it's so thin that it won't show up in pictures. I have a pic of him doubled over, but I would have to post it tomorrow.
