Porcupinepuffer has ich and is VERY Bloated, HELP!

I recently noticed white spots on my saltwater porcupine puffer and his refusal to eat. I also noticed it a little on my other fish, (and had a few choice words!). I started treating the entire tank with KICK-ICH (A 15-day treatment) on 7-28-06 (Friday) and today is 7-30-06 (Sunday). I noticed he had brown blotches on his body (Stress related), and now he looked very bloated. I don't know if he inflated with air or water. It looks painful because when he swims his body looks like Jello. What do I do? Do I burp him? I don't want to stress him any more than he already is![/img]

Correct me if I'm wrong, but SW fish get white spot, not ich, am I right?

*edit* never mind, I think they're the same thing, disregard that.

I saw no one responded to this, so I'm bumping it to the top- I know next to nothing about SW so I can't really give you any helpful advice. :( Sorry, I hope your puff pulls through.

See this regarding SW ich: http://www.thepufferforum.com/forum/vie ... php?t=4576

I'm not able to answer your other concerns.

Stop using that med and do as that link suggests. A pic will help as well. DO you have reason to believe your puffer puffed with air?

I do believe the med may be causing the skin problem. OL, you are correct, they are 2 different parasites.

I'm sorry to say but after reading that info and trying, my puffer ended up dying. Yesterday he wasn't looking good at all, taking slow breathes about 1 every 10 seconds. I did what I could but he is gone. Thanks for all your help though!

Sorry to hear, hope this doesn't make you stop trying to raise puffs.
