so last night when, i turn the lights out on my puffer tank.. the two of them usually FLIP out when i do that.. splash around like maniacs for a minute or two.. well last night.. after i turned the lights out, and they were done splashing, i heard another "flipping" sound.. yeh, one of the friggin things JUMPED out of the tank! he got out from the ONE small part of the tank that the hood doesnt cover, becuase the filter is there.. the hole is like 2" by 3", and he got out.. not only did he jump out, but then he slammed on the floor, from 7 1/2 feet.. 7 1/2 feet fall onto a concrete floor! ... so he wanst moving, but i picked him up as fast as i could, and put him back in the tank.. he didnt move for about 20secs but then, ta'da, he started swimming. And this morning, he was totally normal.. And through out all this he never puffed himself up thank god. I didnt want to have to burp anybody lol..

so my question.. is there anything else i should do ? Should i be watching him, giving him any meds, any melefix or anything.. maybe add some stress coat to the water ?

Thanks guys!!

I'd say just keep an eye on him a day or so, but I would think he'd be just fine. If he doesn't have any sores or any wounds, he should be alright.

:) Crazy fish. Just be happy you don't have a cute little kitty cat.

Hey, crazy fish!
I think the most important thing right now is to watch him, and cover that (albeit small) opening.
