What happened to his tail? Is the skin off?

I dont know whats happend to it really but theres a thread about it in the hospital forum. He's not looking good at all now, still looking bad, sluggish, bobbing around

When my F8 puffs up (which I've only seen once like 3 days after I got him in a dominance dispute), he wraps his tail to one side and sits on the floor... I dunno, to be honest though, I don't think he's just puffing up...

Hmmmm.... He is literally black all over now so... duno how long he's going to last now. I did a water change earlier and added carbon back to the filter (took out while medicating for the last problem) as the pH was 9.5 (aaaaa) and the ammonia was high too. Water is back to normal now

Well, good about the water results, that'd surely help... But I dunno, I suppose you can only watch and see, maybe someone will be able to diagnose him, but from that soar on his back tail, the best you can probably do for now is keep clean water and optimal condition and hope he makes it through...

Yup I've been treating his tail for about 2 weeks, (see "GSP turning white" in hospital)

Oh, that flesh eating disease? Yea, I read about that... I dunno... That could be the issue, but I don't know how much there really is that you can do to help...

Try adding 1tbsp Epsom salt/5g.

Doesn't look puffed to me. I would follow PP's suggestion.
