Leaning F8 Puffer?

Hi,

I have just noticed one of my F8s "leaning" against a mangrove decoration. I was initially a bit worried that he might be sick but when I put a net in to remove a piece of food, he moved. He's now swimming fine and behaving normal again.

Has anyone else witnessed this behaviour? Or do you think it's part of him trying to find some territory to call his own?

Unless you see other odd symptoms, he is likely just resting. Some puffers will even rest in plants with their tails straight up!

It could have been sleeping.

My female DP likes to rest on things, laying almost vertically.

One of the GSPs I had would curl up into a ball an wedge himself into any plant/rock/nook he could to sleep.

I think the fish is fine, probably just taking a breather. Mine does it too on occasion because of the heavy current in his tank.
