On my F8 there is a white patch on it's side. It looks abit like some sort of bruise. I don't know if I should even try and take pictures after my attempt to get a photo for puffer of the month. Does anyone know what it could be.

Is it small and round, bite mark from it's tank mate?
--hard to guess with out image, location, shape.
Lil melafix and/or pimafix, may help sooth it

Thanks, it could be a bite mark bite they always seemed to get on well. Could it be a heater burn since I have no cover, I plan on getting one very soon.

What does a heater with no cover look like?

I mean without a guard not without a cover. One of these:

Oh I see. I don't use guards either.

I don't use guards either...
...BTW, if it is a bite mark, I don't think it means the two are not getting along per-say, maybe some one just got a little excited at feeding time, but it may be something worth keeping an eye on

Yeah, mine get really faint white rings every now and then. Never gashes, though.

Perefrine, I think you are right because it was after feeding today that it happend and the food I feed them were cockles that spread round the tank. The other puffer may have missed the food and got the puffer. I will try and get some melafix asap. Thanks for the help.
