Any idea what this one is? It is listed on the Brackish Water section of the wholesale list.

Only thing I can think of is a Mappa puffer?

Likely, although it is oft refered to as African scribbled puffer.

Ok this things retail cost is $6, wtf could it possibly be at this price point?!

Also there is a "golden" puffer for the same price on the list.

Both are classified as "Asst Brackish"

Golden Puffers are sold at my LFS. I was thinking of buying one once, but I didn't have enough information on them. There is a picture of 1 in the Freshwater gallery. I think I can find another picture of one chewed up badly, hold on a second.

Supposedly attacked by a Fugu?
Wait a second, are golden puffers also called avacado puffers?[/img]

So I found a LFS in tennesee that bought them and called them up.

He said they came in real small <1" and he had never seen them before. He described them as having a green color like a GSP with thin stripes and spots.

My best guess is a Ceylon, what do you guys think? Should I buy one and find out for myself?

Another clue, Ceylons are native to vietnam. Case solved.
