Ok I just got a Dfp again ( well the kids got him for me for mothers day) hes eating well. The water is in tip top shape but I noticed that hes not swimming much. I looked at his fins and they seem a little torn up and discolored. Fin rot? Theres nothing else on his body just the fins.
I added pimafix. is that ok? or is there something better? I dont think I want to suffer the loss of this one too. Yes hes in a QT tank, been there since mothers day .

I think Melafix is best for torn/rotting fins. Pimafix may work too.

Melafix is more for bacterial and pimafix is more for fungal. I would go with a mix of both just incase it was a bacterial case that turned fungal.
