Hi y'all I have a new GSP for 3 days now. He's in a 2 month old cycled tank.
75 gallon, 2x2x4 ft
Salinity 1.008
PH 7.8
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 20
Ammonia 0

Yesterday he was fine, eating, exploring, today he doesn't eat, swims on occasion but immediately goes back up to surface and looks like he's taking a deep breath then holding his breath, then his body goes limp and he just floats there. He looks a little puffy but not like a full puff at all. He's been alternating between swimming and doing this puff float thing at the surface for 12 hours now. Is this normal?

Is he floating on his back?

He was floating right side up (normal)
He passed away the next day. I apologize for the late response.
Obviously something was wrong, but I still thought it was such weird behavior. He really looked like he was holding his breath.
