Hi All,
I have a MBU puffer about 5 to 6 inch. Recently, it has developed a small circular white patch, looks like a sunken white patch. Not sure whether if he got bitten by another smaller MBU or not, i took it out 2 days ago into a small tank. looks like the patch is not getting any better. Can i know what is that and how to make it better? He's fine, eating and swimming. Just want to let the white patch heal faster.

I don't think it's a puffer bite, they are usually a whitish circle. It is very difficult to take a chunk out of their leathery, sandpaper skin. Is it getting larger? Fuzzy? I'd just make sure his water is pristine & treat with Melafix to help with the healing.

Hi PufferPunk,
Thanks for your reply. The patch is not getting larger and its not fuzzy. Looks more like a small sunken hole. Got it, i will treat it with Melafix. and yes, the water is in pristine condition and i do water changes daily. Do you have any idea what is that or what causes it? Thank you very much for your help!

How is he now? You should be showing nitrate.

Hi Pufferpunk,
His white patch is gradually dissapearing. I have tried kanaplex and furan as i thought will be columnaris over the course of 8days. But before that treatment, he was in this state with swim bladder problem and was floating at the top of the tank. I added epsom salt for 5days and he began sinking to the bottom and not floating but his body is still bent. Now after 10days, he is still in this stage. I was wondering what is that white patch near the anus area at the side.
I have also attached a pic of his poop. Does it shows any illness that he has?

That bend doesn't look so good. His poop looks fine. Can he eat?

thanks for the confirmation on the poop. Yes hes eating but not alot. but with this bent and white patches im afraid that could it be fish TB that he is infected with? The bent and swim bladder just came about few days before treatment with furan and kana plus
It also looks like he has slight fading of body color at the face in the pics below.
the first two pics above are before treatment about a week plus ago. the last two pics are pictures taken today.
