Spinning deformed Dwarf Puffer

Hi everyone,

Unfortunately, a pea puffer I had around 3-4 years is now very sick. Facing down the hospital tank she’s spinning, and doesnt seen like can float up. At least I havent seen her go up. I have put her in the hospital tank yesterday because I suspected she had parasites as she was eating but wasn’t gaining weight fast enough, was swimming awkwardly, and had a lump.

Also unfortunately, the hospital tank isn’t cycled because I had to transfer her immediately after consulting online about potential disease and I wanted to treat her using API General Cure that was recommended by my LFS and online sources. But now she’s spinning on the bottom of the tank.

Pictures attached.

To the hospital tank, I added newly bought driftwood and fake plant. I have a filter and heater. I also added half of general cure because the tank is 5.5 gallons. I added 75% water from her usual tank and 25% new.

Tank: 5.5 gallons
Ammonia/nitrate/nitrite should be at zero due to the main tank water having been changed two days ago (rummynoses in same tank all had red noses, so everything seems fine there)
Temp: using those regular aqua thermometers, the temp’s in the green, around 75.
The new driftwood has added the brown coloring, and there is some ditritutus (?) from the main water tank (I siphoned from the bottom stupidly).
Tank mates: 6 rummynose tetras, and another pea puffer (she’s puffy and acting normally)
Regular, main tank: 29 gal
Regular food: frozen bloodworms and pond-snails (?) that sometimes show up in aquariums like the annoying hitchhikers they are after buying aquarium plants

Please help. I dont want her to die. Sadly in my case so far any fish that was put in the hospital tank died…so I am not optimistic.

I'm really sorry but she is just too far gone. I would euthanize with clove oil.
