New Owner: How do you know?

How do I know if my Amazon puffers are eating the bladder snails, or the snails have just moved to a plant or similar?

How do I know if they’re eating enough snails to keep their teeth trimmed?

And how would I know if their teeth become over-grown? I cannot see their little mouths well enough, and they never stop moving!

Also, I read that the trumpet snails aren’t recommended. What about the small recently born trumpets? I am growing bladder, ramshorn, and trumpet.

Now I have more questions! I see one of my puffers eating snails, so he’s good. But not the other. How quickly do their teeth grow?

The care sheet mentions JBL NovoGranoColor and some other JBL pellets. Will those keep its teeth down? What about scuds?

Anything crunchy will help. Newly hatched trumpets should be OK.

Thank you, Pufferpunk! I wish this were a more active forum.

What about the JBL? Do you know what’s preferred? Are scuds ok?
