Bought new tank. Came with fish. Put my two GSPs in and the sailfin tang and 2 Picasso clowns didnt really get along with them. Long story short, late at night, they tried eating my puffers. 1 of them will survive. The pics attached are of the other. He's on his last breathe right now. My question to you guys is what happened to his tail? Is that tail rot? I wish I could of helped him more but he has been in a daze since the fight. he seems blind, laying on the sand, has labored breathing, and his skin is rotting away.. I put him into a qt tank and gave him copper and ick but I can't find anywhere online a gsp with the same skin issue.

Copper is extremely toxic to puffers. Please do a 90% WC & run carbon on that tank to remove those meds. Your puffer has a bacterial infection, not a parasite.

I really appreciate your reply puffer punk. Those pics were taken before the coppersafe. It was a last ditch effort. I found conflicting conclusions to copper and honestly was a mistake to administer. I posted Thursday. He died thursday night. Admistrators didn't approve my post till Friday evening..

BUT I STILL NEED HELP guys. I had 2 gsps. They were in the same tank for almost 10 years. Both got their asses kicked but the alpha (brutus) came to, within a couple days and started eating..
The other, (squeak) who I posted about, he (or she) was the beta. Squeaky never came to. He was screwed up..
I bought a 3g tank for qt on Thursday and all the medication my fls had. (Not much)

I really do not want to lose both my puffers. I've already got rid of the tang and the clowns. Brutus looks okay when he's white bellied but looks alot worse when he's turns more black. I know he's also missing squeaky. They were definitely bonded. And he's in a new unknown tank w a few other tank mates that don't cause issue.

His skin looks weird and I would like to know what you guys would recommend doing. I'll put pictures so you can see what I'm dealing with here.
