Hi all,
I have had this Amazon puffer about two weeks, about a week ago the first white spot started.
I knew it would probably come.
Is up the heat to 28 and add table salt still a go to? Been a few years once my arrow head puffer.
200l aquarium
Planted
Set up over a year
307 with sponge and media
50% every week
25*

No, that is old-school & is harmful to the fish. Better to use Ich-X. Do you only have 1 puffer?

Hi,
Saw you’d surguested that but doesn’t seem easy to find in the U.K.?
Yeah one Amazon in there, was either one or a bunch of 6 but they’re about £20 each near me! A school Of them would be nice though

Hmmm I see, that’s a very good article, goes against what most information says on them RE numbers.
Not saying it wrong I feel it’s probably the most up to date one and very well written.
Just a bit upset i didn’t see that exact one in the many I read!
I’ll endever to find some more healthy ones and get some more. I do have a 200l that’s well planted so Atleast the little lonely one has plenty to keep busy with.
I did see some in a local shop at £15 each but they look real skinny and poor sadly

I couldn’t find ICH-X in the U.K. so popped into pets at home and got there love fish version which has what I believe are the same active ingredients (forhalimide)

Due to give the second dose today (4 days) will do it after the 50% water change.
Could still see white spots last night though

hopefully time will heal it.
