My new Hairy Puffer

Post by HumblePanda »

Just got our new hairy puffer, he was a little shy for the first day but know comes out and is pretty active compared to what I usually read about. My question now is food. The lfs that I got him from was able to have him pellet trained, my only concern is his teeth. Do they continually grow like mbu’s? And if so what would you recommend as a food the help trim them down? Thanks for you help.

I am totally shocked the LFS got it to eat pellets!

Thanks for the read. From what I was reading I was a little skeptical too but, a bought a bag of hikari food sticks to try and sure enough he came right up to the top and the tank and was eating them one by one as I was giving it to him.

I wouldn't be too concerned about his teeth then, pellets/sticks are pretty crunchy. His diet does need to be varied though.
