Tetraodon Palustris - Need help sexing.

Post by Mookies »

Recently bought a Tetraodon Palustris from my LFS - Been eyeing it a couple of months, and finally decided to buy it.

Based on the info i could find online, i think it might be a female. This is the ID info i have: "Males are darker with a reticulated pattern on there belly, females have a white belly with small black spots on them."

This pictures is of it being slightly mad at me for messing with the tank, its "normal" idle colours are white belly, and more olive green/spotted. But thought this pictures might show the belly patterns better. :)

They cannot be sexed. Where did you find that ID? I can't find that name anywhere. Very healthy fish!
Can you post a pic of the fish with its mouth closed?
