White spot on MBU puffer?

Hi, my MBU puffer is about two years old. He did lose a tooth recently (which I didn’t know was possible?) but he seemed to be doing okay after. He can still eat snails without a problem. About a month or two months later, he has this white spot on his face? Then this morning he had it on his body too. Can anyone help determine what it is and what I can do????

My water parameters - ph 7.2, ammonia and nitrite - 0, nitrate 10
He’s in a 65 gallon tank with a bichir and jack dempsey (they don’t bother each other at all, and yes we are going to be moving him in a bigger tank)
We have used Melafix to help last night but it seemed to have gotten worse since it’s on his body now?

I have attached a picture of it in his cheek last night but the same thing is on his body now.
