Hyposalinity Question

*Water parameters are based from the current hyposalinity setup in a separate hospital tank*
1: water parameters
Ph:8.0
Salinity: 1.009
Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrates: Both 0, I made sure to do two test to make sure Nitrite was actually 0 and this is how it read both times.
2: 20 gallon (I understand I should have opted for a bigger tank but this is what I had to setup for a hospital at the time, this fish is about 3.5 inches) Inhabitants: Porcupine Fish
3: Food: Squid, Snails, Clams, Cuttle Fish, Octopus, Shrimp (typically dosed with Vita Chem)
Waterchanges: Instant Ocean for full water changes, “Real Pacific Ocean water” by Imagintarium for partial water changes which occur every week (Saturdays) I’ve been doing lower % water changes to not mess with the salinity too much for this system.
6. Nothing
5:The aquarium has been running for almost 2 weeks, salinity was lowered to hypo conditions Saturday Jan. 16.

Ok, so the fish is doing seemingly well in hypo so far, I have been able to get the pH up and everything else seems to be in check. My question is, would it be beneficial for when the time comes to start a new hospital tank to start raising salinity ? My thinking is that if I set up a whole new clean aquarium with new equipment matching the current salinity of the hypo tank and then gradually raising it, it would lower my chances of re introducing the fish to the crypt. (I hope that makes sense) . Also, since the fish will be going into a whole new setup after treatment (I have two setups one at my home (the setup that exposed the fish to crypt while I was on winter break) and one at my school , both in which are established) should I still stick with the month time frame for this treatment or wait longer ?
