Help me with filtration

Post by MaxGen »

I have a rimless 11gal cube tank (14x14x14) that will be planted with hardscape as well. I'm planning on putting 3 pea puffers in it and nothing else. Since I want this tank to look great, I'm hesitating using a sponge filter. A canister seems like overkill for such a small tank, although some of the cheap chines ones have very low flow. An HOB is another option, but it is a bit unsightly as well. What about an internal filter? Do you think that would be enough? I heard pea puffers can have a heavy bio load with the food waste.

Any good filtration ideas for a nano showtank with pea puffers in it?

Thanks

Thanks, they might prefer it, but that's not going to happen. Too many for a 11Gal tank. Anyone have any suggestions for filtration?

I'm leaning toward an Aquaclear 20 HOB currrently. I find them unsightly and would prefer an internal filter but I'm not confident that will provide enough filtration. Anyone have experience with the setup I have described above?

Thanks,

I’d cover the back walls with black pvc sheets and use them to hide the filter inlet and the heater in the corner. Hardly visible, especially with plants, easy to do and cheap.
