Swimming in circles / laying on side

My apologies if this is posted elsewhere but have had trouble searching.
I have a 10 year old GSP that has been laying on his side and doing flips - can't seem to swim upwards without doing so.
Bought some aquarium testing kits and everything seemed fine - in brackish water (gravity close to 1.02 ) in a 40 gallon tank by himself. I was desperate and read it could be a bladder issue and that feeding a pea might help so tried that but no change. Not sure what other info I can post to be helpful but wondering if anyone might have any ideas I can try. Attempting to post a few images to see if that might help show what I mean.
