Super skinny F8 puffer

Tank parameters: normal- I don’t have the hard numbers for everything at the moment. I believe it to be an internal parasite
15 gal tank- just live plants and the puffer
Feeding: clam on half shell, bloodworms, snails, shrimp- every other day

30-50% water changes every week-
I’ve started to add an algae killer treatment from API
The aquarium has been set up for 3 months
Note- this puffer was accidentally mailed to me so I apologize if I messed something up in my care for him.

So we had a pet sitter watch the house for three days while my family and I went to the mountains. My f8 puffer was 100% normal but when I got home today he looked super skinny, active and wanting to eat but not as interested as usual and slightly lethargic. His sides almost looked deflated. I already purchased some internal parasite meds but just in case I would like some feedback for what I should do! Also his body looks a bit more “scaly” than the usual smooth skin look.

Algae killer can easily kill your fish, too. Please do a large WC to remove it!
