I had a ammonia spike and a nitrates spike 3 weeks ago. Have done massive water change now everything is under control and back to normal. But my pp is not eating he was swimming back and forth real fast, and bumping into the rocks. Also he is not paying attention to me. I need help thanks Scott

ok ph is at 7.8 amon. at .1 salt is at 1.024 90 gallon with a big eye squora, niger trigger, homa homa triger a clown . been set up for 10+ years. water changet 40gallons in the past 3 weeks. feeding hi crill.

Nitrite, nitrate? Triggers are notoriously aggressive fish, could be very threatening to that puffer. Also, how large are all these fish? Your tank sounds severely overstocked. Just the puffer alone needs <100g as an adult. Are you only feeding it krill, nothing else?

You have to stop feeding krill IMMEDIATELY! It has been proven to cause severe vitamin deficiencies & lockjaw.

I'm sorry to high jack this tread, but the articles linked don't mention anything about krill. The first one even lists it as a possible food, both under frozen and freeze dried.

Is this something specific for porcupine puffers or puffers in general?

Yes, ONLY as an occasional treat, not a staple food. I have seen a much higher incidence of lockjaw in porcpuffs than other species.
