Feeding My Puffer/Baby Puffer

Post by Doublev »

I woke up to the saddest thing today. We bought a baby porcupine puffer two weeks ago. She was sooo small. I mean I have never seen a porcupine puffer this small in my life nor had the store owner. I bought her because I could not resist the cuteness. I own another porcupine that I have in another tank. She is over a year old and doing fine. I feed her three cubes a day because she is a monster, still cute, but a monster. This new fish was as small as my thimb, literally. I would break her off a corner of the cube and feed her maybe 10- 15% of what I am feeding my giant puffer. I did this 3 times a day. I woke yp today and she was lying dead at the bottom of the tank. I am very sad about this and I blame myself. I had the water tested, everything was fine. Tested the salinity, perfect. Temp- perfect. I cannot figure out what it was?? Any ideas. Did I underfeed her?
