Opinions on Tank Set Up for 1 to 3 DP's?

Post by tmgarcia70 » Tue Nov 06, 2018 10:14 am

Hi! Can I get your opinion on my tank set up? Is this good enough for more than 1 DP (not sure if I want more than 1 but no more than 2 or 3)? It's a 10 gallon and I have fake and lots of live plants, thinking of adding a small castle for an additional hiding spot. Any suggestions or comments are welcome. Thanks!

Definitely looks good for 1. I wouldn't do the castle without taking other things out, as you want them to have a decent amount of space for swimming. Having a group of 3 would be tricky... I don't want to say that you can't do it, but it would be a pretty small space for that number. Usually I say 5 gallons per DP but you can't keep just 2 most of the time
187 Gallon - 1 Signata Stingray
50 Gallon - 3 Roseline Sharks, 1 Hujeta Gar, 1 Striped Thorny Catfish
34 Gallon - 1 Duboisi Puffer
28 Gallon - 1 Red Congo Puffer
10 Gallon Planted - 1 Dwarf Puffer
6 Gallon Feeder - Red Cherry Shrimp, Guppies

Also--VERY IMPORTANT! When keeping 2, it's best to keep 2 females or 1 of each.

I can't add anything on top of what the others have said other than to say the tank looks nice :)

Yeah glad to help! Post a pic once you add however many puffers you decide to. You also may be able to do 1 DP as well as 6 neon tetras or 3 dwarf corydoras.
