Newest butt butt! First time with and bush species, but was so social at the store...after the 3rd visit I couldn't say no.

Yay for photo bucket! This is my new sweet baby Cochinchinensis! Only about 1.5" long. I got to see her hunt ghost shrimp, and it was more of a treat for me then her lol first she chases after them like the hunter species, then after figuring that she wasn't fast enough- I watched her hunker down and her color got very dark. After about 5 mins of sitting motionless, she POUNCED! Got 3 of the 4 shrimp that way! I was excited to see her "lurker" behavior show through, bc she is very social and is not shy or antisocial in the least (like other Fangs keepers say they can be).

I have been looking for Irrubescos or Lortetis with no luck for a very long time. It hit me last night that after 2 years, I may be waiting much longer for my holey grail puffer and that these may be the only red eye I will find.

I hear that these Fangs are more common in the hobby, but some say they are still hard to come by... which is correct?

Havent named her yet but it's hard to name when you don't know the gender! I know it's impossible to sex them, but I can't call my puff and "it", (plus women kick @$$ )so I am inclined to assume it's a she (I got a 50/50 chance lol).

Oh she's got a personality on her. So active and social ❤️❤️❤️ Plus the hunting is so funny! She did it this a.m. again, but chased after the shrimp for much longer. Then then plopping down followed by color change, lol I think she's pouting!!! Mad bc she can't catch the shrimp. Then once it gets close enough she springs at it.

I have her in a 20 long with CaribSea sand and a huge piece of spider wood and a hidey cave (it's a tree stump cave). I have a huge plant order coming into my lfs today, so it will be pretty well planted by this evening. I'm surprised the lack of plants doesn't bother my puff, not much glass surfing, just swimming and checking stuff out! I really
