I have not heard of this species being bred in captivity.

thanks- Do you know if a King Kong/Dragon Puffer likes water flow from a small water circulation pump or mind the flow of a hang on back filter?

Considering they prefer to hang out in their cave 90% of the time, i don';t think they would like a ton of flow. a HOB Aquaclear should do fine.

I only picked up my Dragon Puffer yesterday night. I bought him right from the bag the distributor sent to my LFS for me. He seemed to acclimate easily and after a lap or two around my tank he headed right for the cave I placed in there for him. This morning I held a couple of krill in front of the cave with forceps, but he wasn't at all interested. Those two krill are on the inside top of his cave, so if he changes his mind they are there for him. Should I be concerned- I am thinking it might take a while to get him started. This weekend I was planning on trying a couple of live snails. Any suggestions to help get him to eat? So this puffer is about 4" and the only other thing I have in this 38 gallon starter tank is a 6" lemon pleco. I couldn't imagine either one being a problem for the other. Would you agree?

He is probably only used to live food. Try earthworms.
