Are these any good?

I'm new to fish keeping but the idea of running about with buckets of water doesn't thrill me. Are these actually Anygood, the reviews seem OK but I never trust these things 100%

I couldn't live without one!

I toss the hose out the window to drain.

As you age things like this become essential. Anything to reduce work.

Oh help, I bought one of these but none of the supplied heads will connect to my tap.

I have a narrow Swan neck type mixer and its too small for any of the included attachments. Is there a work around or will I have to send it back?

Alternately are there any other water changing units I could try, I don't fancy lugging buckets.

Mine doesn't fit either. You'll have to buy an adapter. You'll need one with a female end that fits your faucet and a male end for a regular size garden hose. I found one at Lowe's, but home depot or any other big box hardware store should have one. Take the faucet connector and diffuser tip from your faucet for reference.

You should be able to get something from a hardware shop to make it fit

Seriously this seems to be impossible, ice been to wilkos and b and q but they had nothing that fitted.

However for now I have it running out into the garden as it fits the outside tap but I now have a new issue. It sucks but I still wouldn't say the suction is that great, it's not enough to actually suck up the poop from the tank floor so I'm getting a bit stressed our with it tbh. My water pressure is good so I don't get why it's not sucking enough (pulls water fine).

Oh also I was a batter operated gravel vac in a store, are these actually any good? I'm tempted to get one because I imagine they are stronger plus they don't empty the water at the same time meaning I can give the floor a good clean.

An additional syphon out and waterchange is better than vacuuming just the crud imo. However it won't hurt either way. Do a little research online and I'm sure the stores will have what you need. I'm a manager at Brighton B&q and we got all you need to make an inside tap convert to the fittings of an outside tap. Stick with it, it's confusing at first but you will suss it

I was gonna do the electric gravel clean as an extra along with the regular water change each week, that's if the gravel cleaner works better than the Python at pulling up muck. I'm at a loss about how to clean it up now!
