hi just bought a new tank as the lfs is shutting down.

dimensions are
18in tall
36in length
24in wide

comes out at around 67g

ive got a 30g im going to use as a sump, bean animal overflow, algae scrubber I already have and I have a reactor, havent got a protein skimmer yet but I will.

Ive had gsp before and kept in full marine, but died due to threadworm

What types of puffer can I house in this? im thinking of soft coral but i would sacrifice this for a puffer and heard its hit and miss with gsp but tempted to try, or maybe a mimic puffer or filefish.

I really want a porcupine but I know its too small, theres one in the shop that cant swim well, he said it was born without a tail and I love it, if I went fowlr would I be able to house a burrfish? its quite a wide tank, but again unfamaliar so thought id ask.

Burrfish grow to the size of a porc. You aren't interested in more GSPs?

Yeah i love them, just exploring more options.
I had no idea, huge shame, i am getting a bigger tank in a year but not silly enough to house a porky until i have the right size.

I may just back into them, ive only had 2 of these previously, they were both big softies, the first used to live with amano shimp and used to be almost shy of them and let them climb over him.

they both started in fresh then moved to brackish and then full marine, one is still in my friends marine tank, I had to relocate him as i was in between moves and temorarily staying with someone for 3 months.

what about ceylon? are they as friendly?

saddlebacks have they a good personality?

Ceylons are lovely puffers, both in looks & personality. Sharpnosed puffers are great to keep, too.

+1 for ceylons! I love mine and they're very rarely available
