I'm giving strong consideration to F8 Puffers, but have concerns about their dental care.

Question I have is this.
If I feed F8 Puffers properly, live shelled snails etc, should I still expect a need for me to trim their teeth?

You should not need to ever do dental work on a F8, if fed the proper crunchy foods.

It makes the decision to go with puffers much easier.

If you have more than 1 puffer then you may need to do the odd bit of dental work on the others. I had 2 but had to cut the teeth of my second because it would sit back and wait for the other to do the hard work and then it would steal in for the fleshy bits.

I cut the seconds teeth less than once a year though.

To be honest, I'm scared to do the dental work myself for fear of hurting the puffer

Are there any suggested tools or are finger nail cutters appropriate?
